Olieverbruik en olieproductie betekenen niet hetzelfde
Lees afzonderlijk het olieverbruik in TWh, olieverbruik per hoofd, aandeel van olie in primaire energie, productie en geschatte netto-import/export.
Olieverbruik toont het volume olie-energie dat in het land gebruikt wordt, terwijl productie de binnenlandse productiestroom toont. Handel, voorraden en raffinagestructuur kunnen beide waarden doen verschillen.
Verbruik per hoofd corrigeert voor bevolkingsomvang; het aandeel olie in primaire energie helpt het afhankelijkheidsniveau te bepalen.
Geschatte netto-import/export is afgeleid uit het verschil tussen verbruik en productie. Dit is geen officiële statistiek van ruwe-olie of petroleumproducthandel.
